Vice-Deanship for Quality, Development and Academic Accreditation

The Vice-Deanship of Scientific Research for Quality, Development and Academic Accreditation was established pursuant to a decision issued by the President of Umm Al-Qura University on Dhul-Qe’dah 17th, 1436H (corresponding to September 1st, 2015). It is affiliated to the Deanship of Scientific Research and included in its organizational structure.

 

Objectives:

The Vice-Deanship of Scientific Research for Quality, Development and Academic Accreditation aims at taking the international classification of Umm Al-Qura University in the field of scientific research into higher levels through providing high-quality strategic and managerial plans that meet standards of scientific research set out by the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA), that’s to be added to maintaining transparency and supporting teamwork to create an institutional atmosphere.

 

Tasks:

  1. Spreading the culture of quality within the deanship
  2. Following up the deanship's reports, and making sure that they were prepared submitted in a correct manner
  3. Measuring the performance of the deanship’s activities
  4. Honing skills of the deanship’s employees in the fields of quality and academic accreditation
  5. Creating the deanship’s standards and indicators
  6. Identifying shortcomings and priorities to overcome them in the deanship’s executive plan
  7. Providing facilities for the deanship’s work teams to achieve its mission, as well as suggesting or organizing workshops and training programs to hone skills of the deanship’s human cadres to ensure a high level of quality.
  8. Reviewing a biannual SWOT analysis about the performance of the vice-deanships.
  9. Preparing questionnaires to measure beneficiaries' satisfaction with the deanship’s activities.
