Overview of the Vice Deanship for Academic Affairs

The Vice Deanship for Academic Affairs was established with the inception of the Deanship of Admission and Registration. It has shifted gradually from paperwork to digital work with regard to the provision of services and procedures, as all its academic dealings depend on smart applications at present. The vice deanship provides and follows up the executive programs for the regulations and procedures of the educational workflow for all the UQU academic plans. The vice deanship also adopts the deanship’s vision with regard to the provision of a leading educational and academic environment that preserves the rights of all the benefiting authorities. It is worth mentioning that the deanship includes the Academic Affairs Department, the Study Plans Department, and the Student Services Department.

Duties of the Vice Deanship:

  • Practice the competences granted by the Dean.
  • Supervise the activities of the student services and study plans.
  • Follow up on the students’ different academic moves, and provide guidance on the necessary measures for them as per the regulations and instructions.
  • Prepare periodic reports on the activities and achievements of the Vice-Deanship of Admission and Registration for Academic Affairs, and proposals for performance development and submit them to the Dean.
  • Participate in the committee for the preparation of the Deanship’s annual report.
