In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
With the technical development, new archiving technologies and e-government concept dominating the scene in recent years, digital archiving has become a requirement for modernization. Since information is the mainstay of institutions and communities, documentation and archiving experts have sought to employ technical advancement in preserving documents and quickly making them available to information community, as a link between the past and the present. Needless to say that without documentary heritage, we wouldn't enjoy today's civilization.
Thus, under the auspices of our wise government, the UQU Documents and Archives Center decided to apply new digital technologies under follow-up of the UQU President, Prof. Bakri bin Matouq Assass, and supervision of Vice-President, Dr. Yasser bin Soliman Shoushou, who is seeking to preserve and display documents safely for years and years to come through applying modern technologies. Such efforts exerted to enhance archiving documents, will ultimately preserve our history and heritage.
In this respect, I call on UQU employees to cooperate with the Documents and Archives Center to build a strong database to cater to researchers' needs.
With the best wishes,
Abdullah A. al-Suleimani
Director of the Documentation and Administrative Communications Center
