Objectives:

  • Ensuring an orderly study flow in the department.
  • Harmonizing the courses with the specializations of the academic staff members at the department to ensure the efficiency of the educational process.
  • Providing support and assistance to the students of the department, and identifying their problems and suggestions regarding the study schedules as well as crafting solutions to them.

Duties:

  1. Coordinating with the departments of the college about the courses that are outside the department and the number of required divisions.
  2. Coordinating with the Vice Deanship of the College regarding the department's required halls.
  3. Estimating the number of divisions according to the courses for each semester.
  4. Distributing the courses to the academic staff members according to their specializations and desires.
  5. Ensuring that the capacity assigned to the classroom designated for the divisions is suitable for the number of students in the course.
  6. Reviewing the teaching load of the academic staff.
  7. Preparing the department’s study schedules in order to deliver them in time and updating the schedules at the beginning of each semester according to any newly introduced changes.
