In its concern to meet the needs of national development and the requirements of the labor market and to develop the job capabilities of the trainees, the Center of Innovation and Development in Artificial Intelligence (CIADA) seeks to boost the skills of the trainees working in the virtual environment and enhance their future career opportunities. This is by launching the summer training program entitled "CIADA Summer".

The program targets male and female undergraduate students at local universities for whom summer training is a requirement for graduation. This summer training program will be held during the summer semester of the year 1441 A.H./2020 A.C. to train the students on developing smart products. The trainees will join the development teams that consist of programmers and faculty members to take part in the projects currently underway in CIADA. The students will be involved in the tasks of the center: from the stage of data processing and analysis, then the various development techniques of artificial intelligence models, and finally, marketing the product and preparing it for the end customers. During the training, workshops will also be conducted on the use of modern technologies and platforms in addition to self-learning with regard to personal skills, such as time management as well as visual and audio communication.

Description of the CIADA Summer Program

The summer training program consists of 140 training hours, presented in seven weeks. The trainees will be involved in the stages of smart product development as follows (but not necessarily in this order):

1. Two weeks or forty hours of training on data analysis and clean up.
2. Two weeks or forty hours of training on development and modeling using artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques.
3. Two weeks or forty hours of training on product packaging and processing for the market and customers.
4. Twenty hours of self-learning on soft skills by completing a selection of courses.

The program also requires that each trainee should submit a final report of their accomplishments, to be presented at the closing ceremony of the training at the end of the summer semester.

Conditions for Enrolling in the CIADA Summer Program

1. candidate should be a student in one of the following majors: Computer Science, Information Systems, or Geographical Information Systems.
2. Summer training should be a prerequisite for graduation in the student's study plan (please attach the study plan).
3. A good command of English.
4. Computer programming proficiency (attach proof in the CV).
5. Mastery of web application programming, iOS applications, or Android applications (attach proof in the CV).
6. The trainee should have an appropriate communication environment and suitable tools to work remotely.
