Under the noble patronage of the Dean of the Joint First Year, Dr. Saad bin Saeed Al-Ghamdi, and under the supervision of Her Excellency the Vice Dean of the Joint First Year for the Health Stream (female section), Dr. Azzah bint Muhammad Bannunah, the Student Guidance and Support Unit in the Joint First Year Vice Deanship for the Health Stream at the female section in Al-Abdiyyah organized an educational course on home farming. The course was held on Tuesday and Wednesday, 24–25 Jumada Al-Thani, 1441 A.H.
The purpose of the course was to encourage agriculture and afforestation by explaining to the female students and employees the methods of home cultivation, as well as its importance and usefulness to society. This is in addition to mentioning the essential elements needed for plant care, and referring to the beneficial psychological effects that arise from the presence of plants in the surrounding environment.
Indeed, the organization of such events reflects the deanship's interest in achieving its aim of directing and educating its female students on the importance of home farming.
