Under the noble patronage of his Excellency the Dean of the Joint First Year, Dr. Saad bin Saeed Al-Ghamidi, and under the supervision of the Vice Dean of Joint First Year for Branches, Dr. Rami bin Adel Basha, the Joint First Year Deanship in Al-Qunfudhah participated in celebrating World Children's Day on Wednesday, 23 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1441 A.H. This activity aimed to bring happiness to children and make them feel that they are part of the promising future of this country.
The celebrations were held under the title, "Children of Today are the Glory of Tomorrow." A group of female academic staff members, affiliates and students at the deanship participated in the event, which included several activities that aimed at stressing the necessity of caring for children, protecting them, and paying attention to their interests and needs. It also aimed at fighting all negative phenomena that affect children, such as reproof and all types of punishment, and trying to listen to them and respect their views.
This activity highlights the importance of knowledge, learning, and communication with generations preceding those children to make use of their experience, as well as the necessity of communicating with other cultures and making use of them. Children should be acquainted with the latest technologies in order to be actors in the international technological community, and not only consumers of this technology, to upgrade the level of their precious country, raise its name among advanced nations and civilizations, and maintain the glory and dignity established by our grandfathers.
The Head of the Third Kindergarten in Al-Qunfudhah, Ms. Khadijah Bahushwan, expressed her thanks to the affiliates of the Joint First Year Deanship who organized this activity: Ms. Zainah Al-Marhabi, Ms. Al-Unud Bayahiya, and Ms. Hanan Al-Marhabi. The affiliates of the branch of the Joint First Year expressed their thanks to the Supervisor of the Joint First Year Branch in Al-Qunfudah, Dr. Bilal Al-Zughbi for his support and facilitation of all matters related to their participation in this activity.
