Dr. Hala bint Saeed Al-Amoudi, Dean of the University Studies for Girls, attended the awareness seminar organized by the Student Guidance Center Unit, the Deanship of Student Affairs on Tuesday 8th Rabi'I 1438H. The event was held at King Abdulaziz Historical Hall (Male Section), while it was broadcasted via closed-circuit television at Al-Jawhara Hall (Female Section). The participants in the event included Dr. Abdulmalik Al-Sabil, Staff Member at the College of Judicial Studies and the Regulations, Dr. Muhammad Al-Sa'eedy, Staff Member at the Higher Institute of Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, and Dr. Sa'id Halwany, Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Guidance, Mentoring and Community Partnership (Male Section). On the other hand, Dr. Batool Barnawi, Staff Member at the College of Da'wa 'Islamic Call' and Fundamentals of Religion, participated in the event from the Female Section.
During the seminar, Dr. Al-Amoudi was accompanied by Prof. Sheikha bint Saud Ashour, Vice-Dean of University Studies for Girls for Educational Development Affairs. Moreover, both of them were warmly received by Dr. Mona bint Abdullah Hajji, Vice-Dean of Student Affairs, and Dr. Kholoud bint Muhammad Abo An-Naja, Vice-Dean of Student Affairs for Student Support.
The seminar involved a discussion about avoidance of suspicions, observance of learning only for the sake of Allah, rather than being comparable to scientists. In addition, the discussion involved preventive ways against intellectual deviations, upper ways represented by community-awareness-related institutions, and ideas instilled by mass communication and social media. The discussion also alerted the attendees that such deviations were westernization ideas that aimed at turning our individuals into a demolition, rather than construction, tool. It stressed that the concepts of community's ideas should be corrected to raise our coming generation on the sense of social responsibility.
At the end of the seminar, everyone agreed to the reinforcement and instillation of trust in scientists inside our youth, and accentuated the role of the individual in the correction of any beginnings of intellectual deviation.
