A training workshop entitled "Activating e-Learning through the Use of the e-Learning Portal" was organized on Monday, 27 Jumada Al-Thani, 1440 A.H., corresponding to 4 March, 2019 A.C., at Makkah Community College.

This workshop was offered by his Excellency the Vice Dean of E-Learning and Distance Education for Academic Development and Community Service, Dr. Yassir Al-Hazmi, and his Excellency Dr. Mundhir Al-Hamzawi, Head of Training and E-Courses Department at the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education, in coordination with the certified trainer, Dr. Badr Al-Din Al-Qabani and the Head of the E-Learning Unit.

Also in attendance was the Vice Dean of the College, Dr. Abdul-Mu`in Mustafa, his Excellency Dr. Emad Al-Shafi`i, the Vice Dean of the College for Educational Affairs, his Excellency the Head of the Department of Human Sciences, Dr. Sami Khujah, and a number of academic staff from various departments of the college. The workshop gained the praise and appreciation of all the attendants and achieved its desired goals of defining the awards of distinction in e-learning and assessment criteria, a brief account on the college order in previous reports, and analysis of the activities of the academic staff on e-learning system during the last months.

The workshop presented the most important e-learning tools and how they are used. It also discussed ways of activating e-learning at the college level.
