Dr. Hala bint Said Al-Amoudi, Dean of University Studies for Female Students, attended the honoring ceremony for the students of the faculty of Shari’a and Islamic Studies for the academic year 1436/1437 H, which was held by the Faculty of Shari’a and Islamic Studies on Thursday 7/7/1437H at 11 am at Jawhara Hall, female student campus at Al-Zaher.
Dr. Hala was accompanied by Dr. Sheikha bin Saud Ashour, Vice-Dean of University Studies for Female Students and they were received by Dr. Ezdehar bint Mahmoud Madani, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Shari’a and Islamic Studies, Dr. Ebtesam bint Balkasem Al-Korani, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Shari’a and Islamic Studies for Educational Affairs and Development and the faculty staff members.
The ceremony started with a procession by the top of class students, then Dr. Hala bint Said Al-Amoudi, Dean of University Studies for Female Students gave a speech, in which she expressed how happy UQU is that Shari’a and Islamic Studies is celebrating honoring the elite of its clever students, who made UQU proud, and showed great confidence in their knowledge, empowering them to bear their responsibilities faithfully.
She added that UQU is privileged with its venue and its scientific knowledge, hence becoming a source of religious and linguistic teaching and the clever students are its fruits. She added that UQU needs students with shari’a major, as it will help to consolidate religious values and doctrines in this era in which intellectual immunization has become a priority.
At the end of her speech, Dr. Hala thanked UQU President, Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas for his gracious support, the Faculty of Shari’a and Islamic Studies Dean, Prof. Dr. Ghazi bin Murshid Al-Otaibi and the Faculty Vice-Dean Dr. Ezdehar bint Mahmoud Madani for their care and encouragement of the students with honors and to all vice deans, heads of departments and the organizers of the ceremony, pleading Allah to grant them a successful future.
Then her speech was followed by the speech of Dr. Ezdehar bint Mahmoud Madani, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Shari’a and Islamic Studies, who welcomed the guests and congratulated the students on their academic achievement. She also thanked the staff members for their efforts that led the students to this level of academic achievement and asked Allah to bless them and use them for others’ good.
The speech was followed by that’s of Dr. Haila Al-Sleimi, Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Vice-Dean and Dr. Hayat Al-Rashidi, Deputy Head of History Department. This was followed by a show by one of the students entitled “Creativity of a Clever Student”. The show was followed by a speech by the Vice-Dean of Islamic Studies Center, Dr. Maha Al-Otaibi and the speech of the Head of Shari’a Department, Dr. Eman Kabbous.
Then, Dr. Sheikha bint Saud Ashour, Vice-Dean of University Studies for Female Students, on behalf of Dr. Hala bint Said Al-Amoudi, Dean of University Studies for Female Students, honored the top of class students and the winners of the Knowledge Cup program.
