Under the noble patronage of the Dean of the Joint First Year Deanship, Dr. Sa`d bin Sa`id Al-Ghamdi, and the supervision of His Excellency the Vice Dean for Branches, Dr. Rami bin Adel Basha, and in order to carry out the training plan, activities and the academic guidance at the Vice Deanship for Branches, the deanship training programs were resumed at Al-Leith branch for the students and academic staff.

The branch of the Joint First Year Deanship (male section) organized a training course, on Sunday, 28 Jumada Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H., for students and academic staff, entitled, "How to Write a Scientific Article". The course was presented by the lecturer Mr. Ma’moun Al-Qaraan, who tackled several important points, such as the basics to be observed when writing a scientific article. The students also received practical training on writing a scientific paper.

The lecturer Mr. Al-Sirr Muhammad Abdullah presented a training course entitled, "Language Stock and Its Importance for University Students", on Tuesday, 30 Jumada Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H., in which he tackled the importance of having a wide vocabulary of words, such as greetings phrases and the scientific terminology used in the students' field of specialization. Developing this skill enables students to understand the scientific articles and books written in English, and help them read all new topics in the field of scientific research.
