The Services Unit at the College of Community Service and Continuing Education, under the patronage of His Excellency the Dean of the College of Community Service and Continuing Education, Prof. Khalid bin Yusuf Barqawi, and in honor of Her Excellency Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli, the University's Vice-President for Female Student Affairs, launched a campaign that is considered the first of its kind at the College. The campaign was launched to clean the College Headquarters, and to enhance the environmental awareness of the College staff, motivating them to help to improve the level of cleanliness of the headquarters and to preserve its environment.
Her Excellency the Vice-President for Female Students Affairs launched the campaign, in the presence of her Excellency Dr. Zainab bint Muhammad Al-Khidr Al-Qadi, the Vice Dean of the College, and her Excellency Dr. Fa'izah Al-Harbi, the Vice-Dean of the College of Education for Educational Affairs.
Her Excellency the Vice-Dean of the College, Dr. Zainab bint Muhammad Al-Khidr Al-Qadi, explained that the launch of the campaign was an affirmation of the College's keenness to maintain the overall appearance of the headquarters, and to provide a suitable environment for its staff. She also added that the campaign will continue for a full academic year.
The event included visual presentations, pamphlets and awareness leaflets. In addition, a celebration was held for the staff of the services unit, who were honored by the University's Vice-President for Female Student Affairs, and an announcement was made that there would be an award for the distinguished employee at the Services Unit, on a monthly basis.
Prof. Abir Sharaf, the Supervisor of the Services Unit, said that she hopes that all the headquarters staff will participate in the campaign by adopting civilized behaviors that promote the cleanliness of the College as well as maintaining this level of cleanliness at an appropriate level.
Moreover, the Vice-President for Female Students Affairs, Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli, asserted that cleanliness is a responsibility that lies on the shoulders of each person. Everyone must feel that they belong to the place where they work, as belonging makes each person aware of his responsibility in serving the environment in which he lives and inhabits.
She thanked the Vice-Dean of the College and the team for the outstanding efforts they exerted in organizing this campaign, and she also thanked all the staff of the College for their contribution in organizing and arranging this campaign.
