On Tuesday Rabi` Al-Awwal 26, 1440 A.H., the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Ali bin Muslih Al-Matrifi, and the Head of Department of Education, Dr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Hejali, launched the annual exhibition of the Department of Art Education in the presence of the College Vice Dean, Dr. Mardi bin Gharmullah Al-Zahrani; the College Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Talal bin Aqeel Al-Khairi; the College Vice Dean for Educational Affairs, Dr. Tawfiq bin Idris Al-Bakri; the department heads; the academic staff; and the students.
The exhibition, which is part of the department's activities for the academic year 1439-1440 A.H., includes a selection of the students' work from the male section in Al-Abdiyyah. Various fields are represented, such as calligraphy, decoration, drawing, photography, weaving, ceramics, metal work, and woodwork. The works also vary in their artistic trends, schools, and styles; they follow the realistic, abstract, influential, and postmodern styles and trends in art.
Dr. Al-Matrifi expressed his happiness at their achievements and his words inspired them to make use of their academic achievement and artistic skills to continue to improve themselves and their university.
