Under the noble sponsorship of His Excellency the Dean of the Joint First Year Deanship, Dr. Sa`d bin Sa`id Al-Ghamdi, and under the supervision of Her Excellency the Vice-Dean for the Scientific and Administrative Streams in Al-Shasha, Dr. Hayfa' bint Husayn Hijazi, the Vice-Deanship of Joint First Year (female section) in Al-Shishah organized an awareness event on breast cancer and the importance of early detection.

The event began with a lecture by Dr. Samar Ali Jalal on the causes, symptoms, and prevention of breast cancer. She also explained how to perform regular self-examination using a dummy.

This was followed by the opening of a health awareness exhibition at which breast cancer awareness brochures were distributed, and those wishing to undergo mammogram screening filled in request forms. The event concluded with honoring Dr. Samar Jalal and her education team with certificates of appreciation for their efforts.
