Under the noble patronage of the Dean of the Joint First Year, Dr. Sa`d bin Sa`id Al-Ghamdi, and the auspices of the Vice-Dean for the Two Streams (academic and administrative) in Al-Shishah, her Excellency Dr. Haifa' bint Husain Hijazi, the female students of Shishah campus participated in the activity undertaken on diabetes, since it is one of the widespread diseases in this time.

The activity that included more than 100 female students started with continuous visits, from the early morning, by those who wanted to check their blood sugar levels at the headquarters clinic. One of the students talked about why there was a need for the World Diabetes Day. Then, a group of students spread over in the area to point out how to distinguish healthy food from unhealthy ones, in addition to the ratio of calories in both of them. They also recommended avoiding meals that harm one's health. All this was under the supervision of clinic nurses.

The activity was concluded by distributing flowers, dates and dried fruits, and students signing their names on the Fighting Diabetes Board. Thanks were extended to the female students for their blessed efforts.
