The Deanship of E-Learning, in cooperation with the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies, held a student training course on "Using the E-Learning Portal" at the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies on Sunday, 14 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H., corresponding to 2 December, 2018 A.C. The course was offered by Dr. Isma`il Marhaba, the approved trainer at the College by the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education.

Dr. Marhaba discussed the merits and advantages of e-learning. He then talked about how to access the e-learning portal at Umm A-Qura University. Next, he explained to students how to access the contents and programs of the e-learning portal, displaying the most important tools used by students and how to interact with academic staff.

He also demonstrated to students how to use the delivery folder tool to submit their assignments electronically. The course concluded with an explanation of e-exams, how to manage them, and their advantage in the assessment process.
