Under the noble patronage of the Dean of the Joint First Year, Dr. Saad bin Saeed Al-Ghamdi, and the supervision of the Vice Dean of the Department of Medical Pathology, Dr. Azza bint Muhammad Bannona, the female students and staff of Al-Abdiyyah campus participated in World Diabetes Day. The activity was organized by the Cultural Committee of the Deanship of University Studies for Girls in collaboration with the Colleges of Medicine and Nursing in conjunction with World Diabetes Day on Wednesday Rabi` Al-Awwal 6, 1440 A.H. The event was attended by the Dean of University Studies for Girls, Dr. Hala bint Saeed Al-Amoudi. 
 
The female students were supervised by Mrs. Ashwaq Al-Jiaid. They were given an introduction to diabetes, its types, symptoms, and methods of treatment and prevention. The event enables the students to spread awareness about the disease amongst the university community and boost their volunteering spirit.
