A group of academic affiliates from different colleges interacted with the activities of the training course organized by the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education on managing e-courses through the e-learning platform and its different programs and tools. This e-learning platform was introduced by Umm Al-Qura University for students and learners.
The training course was offered at the training hall at the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education in Al-Abidyyah on Tuesday, Rabi` Al-Awwal 12, 1440 A.H., corresponding to November 20, 2018 A.C. It was offered by Dr. Al-Asaad Al-Samirani and Dr. Mundhir Al-Hamzawi under the supervision of the Vice-Dean of Academic Development and Community Service, Dr. Yasir Al-Hazimi. It tackled the manner of managing e-courses by using various means of communication, such as news, discussions, referendums and submission folders, and also user tools, such as the registers' list and attendance tool. The course focused on the way of linking activities to the register of marks, and the way of making use of all assessment tools available in the system.
This training course falls within the training program prepared by the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education to include different Colleges and educational Institutes in the University. This program is supervised by his Excellency the Dean of E-Learning and Distance Education, Dr. Khalid Al-Mutairi, and his Excellency the Vice-Dean for Academic Development and Community Services, Dr. Yasir Al-Hazimi, who, at the end of the meeting, expressed his thanks to the attendants for their participation and positive interaction with the different activities of the Deanship.
