The Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education organized, in cooperation with Al-Qunfudhah University College, a training course for the academic staff participating in the affiliate program. The course entitled 'Use of the E-Learning Portal and Content Upload' was given by accredited instructor, Mr. Yusuf Al-Ghul, on Monday, 27 Safar, 1440 A.H., corresponding to 5 November, 2018.

The instructor reviewed the e-Learning concept and described the various e-Learning environments and tools. He also reviewed e-Learning process models before introducing the e-Learning Portal (Ta`allum), its most important tools, the facilities it offers for students, and the contents of the e-Learning system home page at Umm Al-Qura University.

After completing the theoretical aspects, the instructor touched on the practical aspects and explained how to access the e-Learning portal and the educational course. He also discussed the various tools used by students when dealing with the e-Learning platform, most importantly the content tool and the delivery folder tool, along with discussions on the grading section and the electronic testing system.

The course included an important section on how to upload the e-Content to the portal. The attendees listened to the stages of dividing the educational course into modules according to the lectures or according to the schedule of the school days, and then how to create sub-modules, and upload files so that the student can browse the educational course regularly and smoothly.
