Under the auspices of Dr. Saad bin Saeed Al-Ghamdi, the Dean of Preparatory Year, and the supervision of Dr. Hayfaa bint Saeed Hijazy, the Vice Dean for Scientific and Administrative Studies - girls section in Shasha campus, the preparatory year students celebrated the 88th Saudi National Day on Thursday Muharrum 17, 1440H, which instills and reinforces citizenship and loyalty values into students, develops the loyalty for religion, king and country, and consolidates the benchmarks of Kingdom Vision 2030.
The Deanship of Preparatory Year in Shasha has held this celebration coinciding with this memorial that touches the loyal hearts of this country’s people every year, amid an atmosphere that is full of enthusiasm and cooperation between all the faculty members, affiliates and students in the campus.
The celebration started with the Saudi national anthem, followed by Quranic recitation and a welcoming speech from the Vice Dean of Preparatory Year, where she pointed that everybody should renew love and belonging and exert effort to promote this precious country for all the Muslims. After that, a speech was given by Dr. Wafaa Mohder in which she encouraged all the students to have their own visions and achieve them. Students participated with poems in the love of the home country. Saudi flags and roses were distributed to the participants in the celebration.
Dr. Al-Ghamdi expressed thanks and appreciation for Dr. Abdullah bin Omar BaFail, the President of UQU, and Dr. Abdulaziz bin Rashad Srouji, the Vice-president of Educational Affairs, for their continuous support to the Deanship of Preparatory Year, pointing out to the importance of the event in boosting patriotic sense, asking god to preserve this precious land.
