In collaboration with the National Center for e-Learning and Distance Learning (NCeL), and under the direct supervision of Dr. Khaled Al-Mutairy, Dean of E-Learning, the first training course directed to staff members on SHMS Platform was presented by Dr. Hassan As-Sabbagh and Dr. Mundhir Al-Hamzawy. The course was held at the E-Learning Laboratory at the Deanship’s premises in the Abediyah-based University City on Thursday, 17th Muharram 1440H (27th September 2018).
It is worth mentioning that the Vice Deanship of E-Learning for Academic Development and Community Service prepared an intensive program comprising a number of training courses on SHMS Platform and being implemented by the Department of Training and E-Courses.
It is evident that SHMS Platform offers many tools to be used by staff members, who can create new OER content to meet the unique needs of students, find new content and remix to create their own. Moreover, the Open Author tool can be used to create and collaborate on new resources. In other words, texts, images, sounds, videos, or supplemental materials can be combined into resources that can be shared and remixed with colleagues and educators around the world.
