A training course on the utilization of the E-Learning Portal was held in the morning of Thursday, 20^th September 2018 (10^th Muharram 1440H) at the premises of the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education in the Abediyah-based University City. The course was presented by Dr. Osama Al-Jarary and Dr. Mondher Al-Hamzawy.  

The course discussed the significance of e-learning, the benefits that could be gained by students as the focus of the educational process, as well as the method to increase achievement using such technology. Moreover, the course demonstrated the main tools provided by the Portal, the contents of the main page, in addition to the various programs and systems which enabled staff members to interact with their students both during and outside the lecture.

In the same context, Dr. Khalid Al-Mutairy, Dean of E-Learning and Distance Education, announced last week the launch of the intensive program of courses planned by the Deanship. He added that such courses discussed both the e-learning tools and the Shams (Sun) Platform on open educational sources (OER).
