In coordination with the College of Da'wa and Islamic Theology, the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education organized a training course for faculty members at the Department of Readings on Thursday 10 Sha’ban 1439AH, corresponding with 26 April 2018. It addressed the topic of: “Using e-learning portal and its various tools”. The course was held at the headquarters of the College of Da'wa and Islamic Theology at the campus of Al-Abideyah. It was delivered by Dr. Monzir Al-Hamzawy from the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education.
At the start of the course, the trainer gave attendees an idea on the importance of e-learning and its benefits for both students and teachers, as well as its advantages in terms of improving the educational process and its outputs. He then explained the e-learning system provided by UQU to its staff through the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education. In the practical part of the course, the content of the system’s main page was explained. He focused especially on the tool of “delivery folder”, marks management, and the method of taking an e-test relying on the “questions bank”. He also introduced the tool of virtual classes.
As the course came to a close, participants received certificates of attendance.
