Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Aliaa bint Abdullah Al-Jundy, Vice-Dean for the Scientific and Administrative Tracks, the Preparatory Year Club for the Scientific and Administrative Tracks in Al-Shisha organized two events on the International Civil Defense Day and the Unified Gulf Week for Boosting the Oral and Dental Health. An art gallery was also organized by the Student Programs and Activities Unit.
On the one hand, the International Civil Defense Day ceremony included a number of awareness events about the role of the individual in the preservation of security and safety. These comprised awareness lectures, acting scenes and practical corners. In addition, supplications to Allah for a permanently safe and secure Saudi Arabia continued through the ceremony.
On the other hand, the Unified Gulf Week for Boosting the Oral and Dental Health ceremony focused on the significance and mechanism of preventive work in order to reduce the percentage of oral and dental diseases. It was also concerned with spreading awareness against chronic oral and dental diseases. As regards the art gallery, it was entitled, “A Story behind My Brush.” It presented the paintings of the participating students who also explained the idea, message and content of each.
In turn, Dr. Saad bin Saeed Al-Ghamdy, Dean of the Preparatory Year Deanship, hailed such various events for the female students at the Deanship’s premises in Al-Shisha under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Aliaa Al-Jundy. Moreover, he stressed the significance of such events’ role. In other words, he said that such events improved the educational environment that motivated creativity and innovation, and developed and utilized the skills of students. This was through the provision of academic courses along with student activities in accordance with standards that required quality and excellence.
