On Sunday and Monday, March 4 and 5, 2018, corresponding to Jumada II 16 and 17, 1439H, a delegation from the Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) participated in the training programs organized by the National Center for E-Learning about SHMS Platform for Open Educational Resources in Riyadh.
The delegation was comprised of Dr. Yasser Al-Hazemy, the Vice-Dean of the Deanship for Academic Development and Community Service, who participated in the training session about the presentation and discussion of the national program strategy for the open educational content. Dr. Khaled Abdul Wajed also participated from the College of Applied Sciences. Moreover, Dr. Al-Asaad Al-Samerany , Dr. Monzer Al-Hamzawy, and Dr. Hassan Al-Sabagh from the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education participated in the training session related to the second training portfolio in the open educational resources.
The engagement of the girls section’s delegation, which was formed from Dr. Hanaa Yamany, the Vice Dean of the Deanship; Dr. Najwa Samarqandi, from the College of Computer; Ms. Areej Banjar; Ms. Samah Al-Khoza’ay; and Ms. Sayta Al-Otaibi, was in the training sessions that were designed concurrently for men and women. Aside from the training session about the second portfolio for SHMS Platform, there was a participation in the open educational strategies session.
