As part of the cooperation between Umm Al-Qura University represented by the College of Community Service and Continuing Education and the different institutions, the training department in the College concluded the training program for the affiliates of Al-Khirat Endowment in Makkah in its 2nd version which included training courses in English language, Computer, Development of Administrative Skills and Self-Development and lasted for eight months.
In his speech delivered in the ceremony organized by Al-Khairat Endowment on the conclusion of the training program, the Dean of Community College Prof. Khalid bin Yousef Barqawi said: " I am pleased to be among you today to reap the fruits of the partnerships, cooperation and integration between Umm Al-Qura University represented by the College of Community Service and Continuing Education and Al-Khairat Endowment in Makkah.. such promising partnership which started in 1437 H with "My computer program2" with the aim of empowering 30 of the youth beneficiaries of the endowment in the field of computer programing". He expressed his happiness for the continuation of such noble partnership in tis second version in 1438 H with "My Network program" which provided training for 30 beneficiaries of the Endowment in the field of networks, wishing for such cooperation and partnership to continue in the future to provide training for more beneficiaries in new fields. He stressed the readiness of the college for more cooperation with the Endowment administration to increase partnership and training to enable the endowment beneficiaries entering into labor market.
Within the same vein, the College Vice Dean for Programs and Activities, the acting Head of the Training Department Dr. Nadir bin Abdul-Raziq Yali said such cooperation comes within the role undertaken by the college in serving the community via training and developing human cadres of the government and private sectors in general. He added that such role is adopted by the University in line with the directives of the UQU President Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq Assas. He said they are looking for more cooperation between the college and charity organizations working in Makkah region.
He explained that the training under this program covered the following sides; English language; computer courses in the field of maintenance, network, database and programing introduction using Java language, website building, Office programs and other programs which target development of human element with the view of the transformation to e-System in line with the directives of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. "That is to be added to a number of training courses meant to development of the administrative skills and self-development courses" he concluded.
