The Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education held an introductory meeting for the students of the College of Islamic Economics and Finance titled:“Virtual Classes” on Thursday 22 February 2018, coinciding with 6 Jumada Al-Akhira 1439AH, at King Abdulaziz historical hall at the university campus in Al-Abideyah, from 11:30am to 1:00pm.
The meeting was delivered by Dr. Adel Balsadiq and Eng. Mahmoud Khidr from the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education. They have both introduced the importance of e-learning and its advantages compared to traditional learning. Afterwards, they introduced the e-learning portal provided by UQU, and the advantages it provides to both students and faculty members. The introductory meeting also explained the process of signing in to the e-portal and the most important tools on it.
During the meeting, the main focus was on the virtual classes tool that allows faculty members to create a virtual room that students can access anywhere, allowing synchronous and non-synchronous participation with their peers and faculty members.
