Under the patronage of Dr. Saad bin Saeed Al-Ghamdi, Dean of the Preparatory Year Deanship, and under the supervision of Dr. Ramy bin Adel Pasha, Vice-Dean for Branches, the Deanship branch in Al-Lith (Male Students Section) organized an event concerning the World Diabetes Day. The event was held as diabetes was one of the widespread diseases in this age.

In this context, the event which was organized by the Programs and Activities Unit at the Male Students Section, included a number of themes: diabetes history and discovery, prevention, diagnosis and risk-indicating symptoms, as well as discussion of diabetes types, performance of tests for attendees and explanation of coexistence methods. Moreover, some diabetics were hosted to discuss their advice to prevent such disease.
