Under the sponsorship of the Dean of the Preparatory Year, Dr. Saad bin Saeed Al-Ghamidi, and under the supervision of the Vice Dean of the Preparatory Year for the Medical Path at the Girls Section in Al-Abideya, Dr. Azza bint Mohamed Bannouna, the Preparatory Year Club has organized the events of the Guidance Week for Midterms for Medical Path students, in partnership with the units of Exams, Training and Development, Academic Guidance, and Public Relations and Media within the deanship.
The event, which began on Sunday 16 Safar 1439AH and continued for five days, aimed to raise awareness among students about the ideal ways to deal with the stress of exams to increase psychological, cognitive and skill readiness before exams.
The Exams Unit inaugurated the events with a simulation of the requirements of shading and filling-in data in the model answer. Afterwards, the Training and Development Unity held a motivational workshop for students titled: "Secrets of Smart Study". It aimed to introduce students to exams, managing them, and dealing with them professionally. It also aimed to introduce them to scientific ways to help them get rid of tension and fear, as well as introduce them to the types of questions and how to deal with each type.
As the events came to a close, an interactive meeting was held with a group of distinguished students in the medical colleges to talk about their academic and professional experiences and successes. This was accompanied by guiding and introductory presentations of the rules and regulations of UQU in terms of exams.
The events have seen a significant presence of students who expressed their happiness and desire to see a continuation of such events that help them achieve a high academic rate and promote their efforts as well as guide them on the right track in light of their maximum abilities and potential.
