Within the framework of implementing the strategic plan of the E-learning and Distance Education Deanship in UQU, and out of the desire to build relations and establish partnerships with different educational institutions and structures concerned with e-learning and education techniques to exchange expertise, Dr. Khalid bin Hatem Al-Motairy, the Dean of E-Learning and Distance Education visited King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, accompanied by Vice Deans Dr. Sultan Al-Motairy, Dr. Yasser Al-Hazimy, and Dr. Ahmed Hamed. The visit took place on Thursday 27 Safar 1439AH, corresponding to 16 November 2017.
The UQU delegation was received by officials of the deanship of E-learning in King Abdulaziz University, headed by Dr. Hisham Bardisy, the Dean of the College. A joint working session was held, as an exchange of expertise and vision took place about the latest programs and updates in the world of technology and education. Dr. Hisham Bardisy delivered a brief about the experience of the deanship in distance education in King Abdulaziz University. He gave an overview of the deanship's achievements and effective role in serving students as well as faculty members.
The UQU delegation reviewed the structure of the E-learning and Distance Education Deanship. And a tour was made across the deanship. Through the tour, the delegation was able to look at the different administrations and departments. It was also introduced to the methods and techniques adopted in designing and developing scientific materials electronically. The delegation also looked at the Electronic Tests Department and the most prominent services offered by the department to faculty members.
Noteworthy, the Girls Section in the Deanship plans to pay a visit to the headquarters of the E-Learning and Distance Education Deanship in King Abdulaziz University. The visit will be supervised by Dr. Hanaa Yamani, the Vice Dean.
