Under the auspices of Dean of Preparatory Year Dr Saad bin Saeed Al Ghamedi and under supervision of Vice-Dean of Branches Dr Rami bin Adel Mohamed Basha, medical female students at the Al-Qunfudah-based Deanship participated in continuous events with a view to achieving numerous cognitive and behavioral goals that help them integrate in university life, along with enhancing the feeling of belonging to the homeland. Among these events was:

Event "Watani 'My Homeland'... Kingdom of Civilizations:

The event aimed at boosting the feelings of affiliation and loyalty to the homeland, from the standpoint that it is an Islamic value and a necessity for achieving security and safety, in which loyalty and love of the homeland turns into an emotion and passion shown in the behavior and becomes an incentive for progress and innovation. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is not only a kingdom of civilizations, but also a mecca for Muslims. While thanking Allah for security and safety in this dear homeland, we all have to be partners in preserving it.

Event "Smile" on occasion of World Smile Day:

The event started with a recitation of some Quranic verses by a female student, followed by a speech about World Smile Day that the Sunnah has underlined the necessity of smiling as an Islamic behavior. The speech also tackled the benefits of smiling from the health, psychological and social aspects. Then, the female students offered flowers to faculty female members and staff in an expression of love and loyalty. Teaching assistants of the Health Sciences College participated with the team of the Al Qunfudah-based Deanship in holding the event.

Dean of Preparatory Year Dr Saad bin Saeed Al Ghamedi hailed support by UQU President Dr. Bakri bin Ma'tooq bin Assas for the Deanship, and continuous follow-up by UQU Vice-President for Educational Affairs Dr Abdulaziz bin Rashad Sarrouji. He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to his excellency for his continuous support for the Deanship of Preparatory Year and its branches and UQU colleges to fulfill its duties and enhance its educational role in this high scientific edifice "Umm Al Qura University".
