Under the auspices of the Dean of Preparatory Year, Dr. Saad bin Saeed Al-Ghamdi, and the supervision of the Vice-dean of Preparatory Year for Scientific and Administrative Studies - Female students' branch in Shasha campus, Dr. Aliaa Al-Jindy, the preparatory year medical students celebrated the 87th Saudi National Day, which instills and reinforces citizenship and loyalty values into students.
The event, in which all preparatory years faculty members, students and staff took part, featured various segments. It started with the Saudi national anthem, followed by a welcoming speech from the Vice-dean of Preparatory Year. Additionally, there were quizzes about the historical background of the Kingdom; national identity corner; and Long Live our Homeland photography corner. Saudi flags and roses were distributed to students in celebration.
Al-Ghamdi expressed appreciation for the UQU President, Dr. Bakri Matouq Assas, an the Vice-president of Educational Affairs, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Rashad Srouji, for their continuous support to the Deanship of Preparatory Year, pointing out to the importance of the event in boosting patriotic sense.
