While opening the New Students Event, Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas, UQU President, paid a visit to the pavilion of the Deanship of e-Learning and Distance Education, where he checked on its contents and activities. The Dean of e-Learning and Distance Education, Dr. Khaled al-Mutairi, briefed Dr. Assas on the key services and activities offered by the Deanship to new students. Dr. Assas was received at the pavilion by the two vice-deans of the deanship, Dr. Sultan al-Mutairi and Yasser al-Hazemi, and a number of the deanship staff, in addition to Dr. Khaled al-Mutairi, the dean.
It is noteworthy, the Deanship of e-Learning and Distance Education is participating, over three days, in the New Students Event, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs under the theme: "A Success Story" at King Saud bin Abdulaziz Auditorium in Al-Abdiyah Campus, on Dhul-Hijjah 26-28.
The Deanship of e-Learning and Distance Education partakes in all days of the event, in the evening session at the same auditorium, under the supervision of vice-dean of the Deanship at the Girls Section, Dr. Hanaa Yamani.
The pavilion witnessed a considerable turnout of students of both genders, thanks to its various intellectual activities and competitions. That's to be added to presenting the deanship's services in a simple and attractive manner, through games and modern technologies. Besides, visitors of the pavilion were granted the opportunity to take a closer look at the augmented reality technology; the deanship provided specific devices for that purpose.
The UQU President, Dr. Bakri M. Assas, lauded the colossal support provided by the Deanship of e-Learning and Distance Education for both the student and faculty member. He wished a good and successful academic year for all UQU affiliates.
