Sixth Career Day for the year 1427/1428 AH
Career Day is held to bring businessmen, companies, and various institutions together with university students with the aim of introducing them to such organizations and present employment opportunities to the graduates.
The day features activities such as academic meetings, lectures, seminars, and workshops, all of which help to enrich the topic of nationalizing jobs in Saudi Arabia.
The Sixth Career Day, titled (Work is Worship... Perfection, and Distinction), was held on the graduation day of the fifty fifth class for the year 1427/ 1428 AH under the auspices of His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Majeed bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, may Allah have mercy upon him, who was Prince of Makkah at that time.
The College of Community of Service and Continuing Education had the honor of organizing the activities of that day, with contributions from deans of colleges and supporting deanships and faculty members. That was the third time for the College of Community Service and Continuing Education to organize the Career Day after the University Rector assigned to the college the task of organizing the Career Day and establishing a consulting bureau for recruitment and for the Career Day. The bureau established a specialized website that posts all public and private sector vacancy announcements from all local newspapers and magazines in order to facilitate the job-seeking process.
Objectives:
- - To introduce the role that the university plays to qualify and develop high-caliber national human resources through the programs and academic specializations it offers
- - To introduce the role that the university plays to serve the community
- - To identify the requirements of the public and private sectors so as to contribute to the development of curricula and plans and introduce new specializations that meet employer needs
- - To introduce the material and human resources available in the colleges
- - To establish connection channels between graduates and potential employers and to overcome all obstacles that might face their employment
- - To introduce graduates to the work sector activities and the opportunities and employment benefits it offers
- - To shed light on the importance of Saudization and its effect on the development process
- - To demonstrate the students' skills through the student projects exhibitions that were held during the previous Career Days
The college is working on organizing a number of specialized dialogues and workshops.
