- The curricula of laboratory medicine, nutrition, physiotherapy and nursing Programs have been developed and the following mechanism has been adopted for their academic accreditation:
- - Formation of the necessary team to develop each specialty curriculum.
- - Reference to the curricula applicable in similar local, Gulf and Arab colleges.
- - Effecting the modifications recommended by arbitration bodies.
- - Re-referral of post-modification curricula to international arbitration bodies.
- - The College of Applied Medical Sciences has made a good progress in the preparation of specialized laboratories for new Programs.
- - The College encompasses research centers in the current specialties.
- - An e-mail address has been established for the College, being firstname.lastname@example.org in order that students of the College can send their remarks and the College may adopt positive ideas and suggestions and make good negative aspects as soon as possible.
- Press interviews have been held to render the Saudi community aware of the College's establishment, specialties and prospective.
- A presentation meeting was held to laboratory directors at the hospitals of the Western Region to determine the College's potentials and training requirements of students of all specialties.
- Planning for the establishment of the Central Laboratory in order to train the College students and hold specialized tests and analysis.
- Holding the First Closing Cultural, Social and Sport Celebration for the College male students.

- The students of Laboratory Medicine Program have attained the first three ranks in the 3rd Student Academic Gathering of Applied Medical Sciences (held 1-2.4.1428 A.H. at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah.
- Nominating a group of students to take part in the Scientific Conference for the Students of Faculties of Medicine in Oman Medical College in Oman (11-13.3.1429 A.H.).
- The College intends to nominate another set of students to participate in the 21st Scientific Conference for Medical Sciences Students to be held in Istanbul this year.
Departments of the College
- The 36th Session of the Universities Higher Council, dated 26.02.1426 A.H., has recommended that the Department of Medical Sciences be separated and turned into the College of Applied Medical Sciences. On 07.06.1426 A.H., the Royal Decree No. 7710/MB was passed promulgating the approval of the separation of the Department of Medical Sciences from the College of Medicine to become an independent college under the name of the "College of Medical Applied Sciences", encompassing eight academic specialties:
1. Laboratory Medicine Program;
2. Community Health Sciences Program (Clinical nutrition - Environment health);
3. Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Program;
4. Nursing Program;
5. Radiography Program;
6. Health Management Program;
7. Dentistry and Mouth Health Program; and
8. Clinical Techniques Program.
The newly-established college began student admission as of 1427/1428 through four Programs as follows:
- Laboratory Medicine Program (admission began in 1405 A.H.).
- Community Health Sciences Program (Clinical nutrition).
- Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Program.
- Nursing Program.
- Admission to Health Management Program is to begin as of the SY 1429/1430 A.H.
