Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences Programme

The Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences Program provides only one specialty, namely, physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Through this specialty, a student is made aware of the concept of service in the field of physiotherapy through the study of all requirements of the profession (e.g. information, skills and behavior). The program focuses on the study of clinical applications of physiotherapy.

Objectives of the Programme:

  • Acquiring the ability to diagnose physiotherapy cases
  • Mitigating burn patient complications and assisting them to live ordinarily
  • Applying proper medication through therapeutic exercises, methods of manual or electrotherapy or aquatic exercise
  • Rehabilitating patients to the pre-injury health and motion level
  • Acquiring the ability of player treatment and rehabilitation
  • Preparing awareness programmes to highlight the import of physiotherapy

Department Equipment and Potentials at hand:

First: Scientific Laboratories 

  • Physiotherapy laboratory (orthopedic)
  • Physiotherapy laboratory (neurology)
  • Physiotherapy laboratory (electrotherapy)
  • Physiotherapy laboratory (general exercise)
  • Basic department laboratories

Second: Classrooms and Halls: are equipped with the state-of-the-art means of medical education.

Third: Medical Colleges Library: are equipped with recent medical references and books in the specialties of the College.

Nursing Programme Careers:

The Programme graduates can serve as clinical nutrition specialist in all health sectors in the course of health Saudization policy.
